It’s quite easy to make a mold with silicone rubber. However, we usually need to learn some knowledge about silicone before we start. As we know, silicone rubber, especially for mold-making, is a kind of wondrous molding material for many kinds of objects either in small size or big size. It is because there are so many advantages when using silicone rubber to make molds, such as odorless, non-toxic, high resistance to tearing, resistance to extreme temperature, high simulation precision, clear texture and lines, good performance, etc.
Now, let's learn a detailed method of how to make a mold with our magic silicone rubber.

1. Get a perfect original model ready.
Find a perfect original model. If the model is smooth and flawless enough, then we can definitely make a perfect mold with it.

2. Fasten the frame and set the model.
Every piece of the frame must be sealed well to prevent silicone from leaking. Then, fix the model in the middle of the frame.

3. Metering, mixing.
Let's set tin cure silicone rubber for example, the mixing ratio of part A and part B is generally 100:2 or 100:3. You may use an electronic scale to measure the amount accurately.

Then stirring the mixture evenly.

4. Pouring the mixture.
Pour 1/3 of the mixture into the frame from one of the angles slowly to avoid extra bubbles. Then pour the rest of the part into the frame.

5. Demoulding.
Take out the model when the mold gets cured completely (normally the curing time is 4h~6h). Then clean and trim the finished mold.

Now, we come to the final step - set the mold in a cool and dry place. You may put it into production after 24hrs.
